Spring flowers

I know spring has come and gone, but I can't help being excited about the change that takes place during that time. It is such an awakening and magnificent time of the year. These images are of my Oxalis plant that I adore. It produces these small white flowers that only last a short time. The plants foliage is this wonderful deep plum color, while the stems are wiggly lime green color. I specially think the black and white image would be perfect blown up into a large size of 24x24 and hung on a living room wall or even a bedroom wall.

Happy viewing!

Christmas tree branch

My first winter in my new home in Madison, Wisconsin was interesting. These images are of some Christmas tree branches that we hung on the wall. The light is from a wax warmer. The room was complete dark accept for these spot lights the wax warmer casts.

ArtWorks Show

ArtWorks - Kenosha, Wisconsin

I participated in a group show at ArtWorks in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It was an open theme show with a lot of great and diverse work in there. The space that ArtWorks was in at the time, is this wonderful old store front. The gallery space is upstairs and the ceiling is very low, even at 5'4 I felt a little confined.  However, it is a loft and overlooks the front of the store front windows. The lower level is also part gallery and part store. All sorts of art, home, and supplies are for sale. Chet is a great gallery owner and very supportive to artists. It was an honor to be a part of the show.

Black and Whites

These are some black and white abstract photographs I took a while ago. The images below were taken at night in my living room. The light from a wax warmer made beautiful shadows on the ceiling, curtains, and wall. I had fun playing around and making these dream like images.

Enjoy!
